Trehudreth Cottage Smallholding is on the left just after the first right hand bend on this road.

Leader(s) Steve Jones and Dave Thomas

Contact Dave Thomas (01726) 861093 after 6.00pm. In the event of poor weather (consistant rain!) this event may be cancelled.

We will be meeting initially to explore the meadows at Trehudreth courtesy of Nic Harrison-White, looking at insects in general before moving on to Carwen for the afternoon session where the bog/marsh supports Scarce Blue-tailed Damselflies & Small Red Damselflies (see above), both nationally scarce insects. Amongst the dragonflies we are likely to see are Keeled Skimmers (see below) & Black Darters, and hopefully generate up to date sightings for all dragonfly & damselfly species in the area to contribute to the Dragonflies in Focus atlas project. The flora includes Round leaved and Long leaved Sundews plus Bog Asphodel.

Beginners welcome.
